Melanie encourages playful approach to learn and explore a range of embroidery stitches, playing with colour, texture and mark making. Build a repertoire of stitches to express ideas with thread and colour.

Embroidery is a peaceful and creative pastime that fosters relaxation, refection and slowness as well as equipping one with life skills for mending, self expression with customisation for garments and projects.

Learn how to transfer a design from paper to fabric and be guided through at least five stitches. Continue with the illustrated booklet provided to finifh the challenge independantly.

Based in Melanie’s workshop in Central Brixton. You will get a chance to view Stitch-Schools samplers for ideas and inspiration.
